Team

Our approach is shaped by the lessons of quantitative finance, where a single error can cost millions.

So we appreciate mathematical rigor and strong data quality, operations, engineering, and model validation.

Basically, where accuracy matters, we like to be careful.

  • Steve Cannon

    FOUNDER

Steve helps pioneering enterprises set up and operate AI and algorithmic solutions.  He has spent 27 years helping to build data and quant solutions, prominently at Two Sigma, AQR, and Interactive Brokers/Timber Hill.

His experience has been primarily for algorithmic trading and quantitative finance where accuracy and reliability can be quite important. In addition to his experience helping find the initial AI and quant signals, he has also helped set up and run the complex daily operations of profitable algorithmic businesses.

Steve spent ten years leading the Referential Data team at Interactive Brokers where the highly automated system that consume the data consequentially set a very high bar for accuracy. He managed software development and an operational team. Many of his theories on how to achieve very high levels of automation originate here. A team of five did the job typically done by a hundred people at a similar firm.

Steve also helped build and guide a team responsible for data quality and operational support of quant research at AQR.

At Two Sigma he founded a team that developed an innovative data and analytics platform.

In addition, early in his career, Steve was CTO at Oven, a pioneering software and e-commerce consulting firm.

His current passion is helping his friends access the 10x and 100x talent that he has worked with throughout his career, talent which is both immensely valuable — and not typically otherwise available outside the rarified domains of. Silicon Valley and quant funds.
